Although if I am honest, I am no fly-fisherman, I have visited all of the lakes below and they are all set in stunning surroundings. The lake reviews have been done by angling friend and Fly-fisherman Pinky, and my thanks goes out to him for this section.

 

BURE VALLEY TROUT LAKES: The fishery here is situated in beautiful surroundings near Aylsham. The fishing includes a 6 Acre lake and a magnificent stretch of the upper river Bure. The stream is overgrown but holds a very good head of Rainbows and Brownies. The lake is between 6 and 16 feet deep and holds Brown and Rainbow trout to 8ib. EAST TUDDENHAM FLY FISHERY: This fishery consists of 2 spring fed lakes, which are both dammed at either end. There is a center Island in the top lake which may be accessed via the bridge. The lake is approximately 4 acres and is between 5 and 8 feet deep. The bottom lake is 4 acres and shelves down to 12 feet at the dam end. Stock consists of Brownies to 6ib and Rainbows to 8ib. Day tickets: £15-00 for a 4 fish limit. Facilities: Toilet, washroom.
 
 
NARBOROUGH TROUT FISHERIES: The complex consists of 4 lovely lakes varying between 3 and 1 acres. Depths vary from 3 to 10 feet. There is a prolific stock of Rainbows to 10ib. Day Tickets: £7-00 Facilities: Disabled swims, Toilets, shop. All fish captures must be weighed in and are charged at an agreed price. Tel: (01760)338005
 
RUSTON REACHES: A man made fishery designed to look like a river. The lake offers around 400 yards of reed lined fishing with bends and islands some of the features. Depths vary between 3 and 12 feet. Stock includes Rainbows and Brownies to 8ib. Tel: (01692)536646 Facilities: Toilets, tuition, shop.
 
WOODLAKE'S TROUT FISHERY: A large clear lake of around 11 acres. The lake can get very weedy during the summer, but fantastic sport can be had with an unleaded nymph, Rainbows average 2ib and go to 6ib. Tel:(01553)810414 Facilities: Toilets, kiosk shop.
